Pam's interest in the Byzantine period stems from her family lineage. Her last name is documented in many artifacts of the time. Her family is also a celebrated authority in Byzantine history. In 2013 with the passing of her mother Helen Theodotou, Pam assumed the stewardship of the largest Byzantine coin collection in the world that had been collected by her parents, Chris and Helen, over a period of 50 years. After eight years of digitizing the collection, she negotiated a transfer of the collection to Princeton University, where it will be subject to continued study and enrichment of our knowledge of the Byzantine Empire. https://library.princeton.edu/news/general/2022-03-17/new-pul-acquisition-chris-and-helen-theodotou-collection. Pam is also a collector herself and owns one of the world largest Byzantine glass collections in the world.

Ms. Theodotou holds a B.S. in biology/genetics and a law degree from Case Western Reserve University and an MFA from CCAD in film and digital media. She is an attorney with Baker Hostetler, is an adjunct faculty member at CCAD, and works with OSU’s Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center as a Media Specialist, making films about climate change. The Golden Horn project flowed out of a film script, Byzance, which won writing awards, including placing in the New Century Writer Awards, an official selection in the "Good to Go" Program sponsored by the Female Eye Film Festival in Toronto, and was an official quarterfinalist in the Francis Ford Coppola Zoetrope Studios Screenplay Competition.
